I found this blooming milkweed when driving around Lake Audubon in the summer of 2006. I was so big and sturdy it seemed like the perfect place to perch this Eastern Kingbird. Sometimes when I am searching for reference photos and hoping to find something big and dramatic it is the smaller more inconspicuous things that catch my attention.
