I was inspired to paint “Just Passing Through” after a mountain lion was euthanized in Bismarck in January 2019. He was following the natural migration path along the Missouri River and unfortunately had to be put down because of public safety concerns after getting too close to the city. This is my way to memorialize what was such a strong and beautiful creature.
