In the summer of 2018, my husband and I got up early one morning to do some hiking and photography in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We found this beautiful Rocky Mountain Juniper on the Coal Vein Trail. It was so dramatic in the early morning light. It seemed like the perfect spot for an animal to perch. A juvenile bobcat seemed like the perfect fit because it is so different from the tree. One old, one young, one weathered and twisted, one soft and pure.
