On a trip to Yellowstone National Park in August 2017 with my extended family, we stopped at a rest area to have a picnic lunch. Two chipmunks were our entertainment for the afternoon. My nephews were throwing them pieces of bread, and the chipmunks were having fun seeing who could get to their easy snack the fastest. I snapped the reference photo for this paintings when one stopped on a rock with the sun shining on his back while he had his quick snack.
